The Wedding Carriage seats 4 comfortably, has fully upholstered seats. The black leather hood and door windows can be raised very quickly converting the open Landau into a weatherproof coach, ideal for the unpredictable British weather.

Our Country Wedding Carriage seats 6 passengers and can be fitted with a simple floral hoop for a country style wedding.

For weddings we provide bows in the colour of your choice and champagne can be served in the carriage if required. We will work with your photographer, allowing plenty of time in order to capture precious moments together.

The carriage is drawn by one our our well trained and experienced carriage horses which are used to working in town and country traffic. The Master Coachman has over 35 years experience and knowledge and is accompanied by an additional driver/groom, both suitably attired for the occasion.

On the day, our priority is your safety, relaxation and enjoyment. We know the importance of timing and only undertake one event per day, where we do our best to meet your specific requirements.

Advice on distance

Each wedding is unique and to ensure 100% success on the day we survey new routes, check terrain for steep hills and find horsebox parking areas prior to accepting a booking.

We recommend carriage journeys are no more than 2-3 miles each stage, with a maximum distance of 6 miles in total, as a 2 mile journey can take 20 minutes.

The Church & Confetti Drive

We arrive at the starting address about 20 minutes before the agreed departure time, travel to the Church, wait during the ceremony and be ready again to take you on to your reception venue. There is no finer way to leave the Church and there’s plenty of time for photographs and confetti.

The Romantic Drive

If the proposed distance is considered too far for the horse’s comfort we can meet your wedding car at a designated place and you can take a romantic carriage drive to your reception venue with Champagne if required arriving in timeless style for photographs.

The Celebratory Drive

If your reception is at the same location as the ceremony we suggest the bride and groom take a celebratory carriage drive, approximately 15 minutes to relax, enjoy Champagne and spend some special time alone together prior to returning to greet their guests. There is plenty of time for photographs.

Insurance

We are covered by £2,000,000 Carriage Drivers Commercial Policy for horsedrawn weddings, fetes, film and promotional work, occasional tourist rides and teaching.
